Hello hello fellow #soulcrews! its been so cold around Melbourne recently, its seems like we had very short ( A day or two) transition from summer to winter. Now, you may wonder why I wasn't blogging so much lately, I actually went to a place called 'Safety Beach' near Point Nepean for a short holiday few days ago, enjoying beautiful sunsets in empty beaches and the warm weather.

Well, today is an Earth day, so I thought, why not tell you guys more about it. So for those of you guys who are not very aware of Earth Day, it is an annual event celebrated worldwide on April 22nd, which is today. The events are held to demonstrate support for environmental protection. It was first celebrated in 1970, and is now coordinated globally by the Earth Day Network, and celebrated in more than 192 countries each year.

You guys are all aware of that the natural environments of Earth are being damaged by us, humans doing all sorts of things from mining to nuclear radiation. In fact, according to the stastics,

14 billion pounds of garbage are dumped into the ocean every year. Most of it is plastic.
Over 1 million seabirds and 100,000 sea mammals are killed by pollution every year.
Approximately 40% of the lakes in America are too polluted for fishing, aquatic life, or swimming.

This also implies on humans, like us.

While children make up 10% of the world’s population, over 40% of the global burden of disease falls on them. More than 3 million children under age five die annually from environmental factors.
Pollution is one of the biggest global killers, affecting over 100 million people. That’s comparable to global diseases like malaria and HIV.
People who live in places with high levels of air pollutants have a 20% higher risk of death from lung cancer than people who live in less-polluted areas.

So why not, show our love back to mother nature, this weekend? You might also decide to go for a clean up in your local areas. Or just a simple thing, like recycling, and picking up a rubbish could make a huge difference to our environment. Join the ABC clean ups! Global Citizen Earth Day Celebration Vixx-Error

안녕하세요~ 소울크루 여러분들 :) 운영자가 오랫만에 인사드려요!! 요즘 날씨가 급 쌀쌀해졌죠, 저는 아직도 환절기 감기의 덧에서 해여나오지 못하고 있는데 소울크루 여러분들은 다 무사하신가요? 지난 4일동안 제가 블로그 업뎃을 안한이유는 바로 머리를 식힐겸 캠프를 다녀왔기 때문인데요, 물론 다른 개인적인 이유도 있었지만 요즘 소울샵 준비로 너무 바쁜 와중엔 잠시 잠시 머리를 식혀줘야 한다구요. 전 Point Nepean 에 위치한 'Safety Beach'에 갔다왔는데요, 날씨가 안좋을까봐 걱정을 했는데, 감사하게도 제가 갔던 3일동안 날씨가 정말 좋아서 다행이도 열심히 놀고 먹다 왔답니다!

오늘은 Earth Day, 지구의 날 이에요. 많은 분들이 아시지만 우리의 홈, home, 지구를 존중해주고 지구의 환경오염, 지구 온난화 현상등 문제점들을 알아보는 날 이에요. 2일전에 미국에서 열린 Global Citizen Earth Day Cellebration 콘서트에서 당당히 kpop 아티스트 로이킴과 빅스가 공연을 했었는데요, 수백명의 외국사람들 앞에서 한국 가수가 당당히 공연하는것이 자랑스럽기도 하고 신기하기도 하더라고요.
